About Come Out Stay Out

Come Out, Stay Out is committed to supporting citizens who are reintegrating into society after incarceration. We serve individuals currently preparing for release, returning citizens already back in the community and families impacted by incarceration.

Our work is built on the belief that every person deserves the opportunity to rebuild, grow and contribute positively to their community. By addressing barriers such as employment, housing, education, transportation and family support, we help individuals create a strong foundation for long-term success.

Why it Matters
Studies show that many individuals who leave prison struggle to find employment, housing and stable social support. Without adequate resources, the transition back into society can be costly for individuals, families and communities.

Come Out, Stay Out works to break this cycle by offering practical support, trusted mentorship and meaningful partnerships that help returning citizens move forward with purpose.

When individuals have access to opportunity, accountability and encouragement, they are better equipped to succeed.

Our Founder
Bishop Timothy D. Holden Sr. is a spiritual leader, visionary entrepreneur and community advocate. He is the founder and senior pastor of Anointed Temple Ministries, as well as the founder of T.D. Holden Real Estate Development and Investment, LLC, and Come Out, Stay Out T.D. Holden Jail & Prison Ministries.

Born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan, Bishop Holden launched the Come Out, Stay Out program in 2017 to celebrate and support men, women and youth who have overcome the stigma of incarceration. Through the program, returning citizens are encouraged to rebuild their lives by returning to school, developing new skills, investing in businesses and giving back to their communities.

Because of the program’s success, Bishop Holden made Come Out, Stay Out an annual celebration recognizing the achievements of returning citizens in other cities and states. The State of Michigan has honored him with a Special Tribute for his efforts to improve the lives of those who have been formerly incarcerated.

Bishop Holden’s passion for God, love for people and commitment to community transformation continue to guide the work of Come Out, Stay Out.
